An 18-year-old Texan has shot and killed 19 students and two teachers in the city of Uvalde, after first shooting his grandmother. He shared photos on social media of his guns and warned of the attack. The shooter engaged in a firefight with border patrol before the shooting and then ran into the school and barricaded himself inside the school. Police initially reported he was arrested before confirming he died. Photos outside the scene show a pickup truck that crashed outside the school, it was unclear if the car belonged to the gunman. Concerned parents were captured at the scene desperately searching for their children and video from the chaotic scene showed police arriving to the school campus with their guns in hand. One widely shared video appears to show the suspected gunman approach the school while what sounds like gunfire is going off in the background.

Partygate pictures from official photographers 'will be revealed today' as Boris braces

Mr Johnson (bottom right) is expected to apologise to Parliament, the public and his own MPs over Partygate in a bid to soak up criticism from the official report into the row later today, even with more snaps from No. 10's vanity photographers poised to hit the press. Deploying a 'masochism strategy', the Prime Minister will 'take responsibility' for lockdown rule-breaking in Downing Street (main), which is set to be savaged in the much-anticipated report. Ministers are braced for Miss Gray (bottom left) to deliver her report to No10 this morning. In a display of contrition, the PM will then make a statement to Parliament before holding a press conference and then addressing Tory MPs at a meeting of the backbench 1922 Committee. It comes as Tory critics last night hinted they may use Partygate to execute a coup. Miss Gray's interim report in January criticised 'failures of leadership and judgment' in Downing Street and highlighted concerns about a culture of excessive drinking. The PM has since restructured his No 10 operation, and Downing Street has also imposed an alcohol ban outside of official functions.

He had earlier been admitted to hospital in Tijuana, Mexico, where he was seen arriving with an oxygen mask on his face and flanked by paramedics. Mr Markle's daughter Samantha, 57, told MailOnline: 'My father is recovering in hospital. We ask for privacy for the family, for his health and wellbeing. He just needs peace and rest.'

Kremlin officials 'are already discussing who will replace Putin'

Three months to the day since Russian tanks first rolled across the Ukrainian border, a Russian government source claimed 'there are almost no people who are satisfied with Putin' among Kremlin officials and Russian elites. 'The problems [in Russia due to the war] are already visible, and by midsummer they will come from different directions: transport, medicine, even agriculture. No one simply thought of such a scale,' Meduza's interlocutor close to the government explained. The revelation comes as Kyiv's spy chief claimed yesterday that Putin (left and top right) had escaped an assassination attempt around one month into the war, and declared the Russian leader's isolation is a preventative measure borne from a deep mistrust of his subordinates. According to her description on the church's profile, which has since been removed, Debra left her home in upstate New York when she was just 16 to become a stripper.

ALISON BOSHOFF: They were the iconic couple of the period: a potent combination of beauty and cool, all dangerous cheekbones and grand passions, with a shared love of poetry, narcotics and booze. When they met, he was 31, she was 20. He introduced the young Croydon model to art galleries, the joy of owning first-edition books and his bohemian heroes, whom she adopted as her own.

His Su-25 fighter jet was hit by a Stinger missile at around 8:25am on Sunday morning in the Donbas skies, and he was unable to eject. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported an Su-25 had been downed in Luhansk, and one of Botashev's former colleagues confirmed his death to BBC Russian Service. It is unclear why a retired general - the highest-ranking pilot to have been shot down in the war - was at the controls of a fighter jet worth £9million. But he loss of such a high-ranking, elderly general suggests the Russian air force does not have enough pilots capable of conducting sorties over Ukraine (wreckage of an Su-25 is pictured near Kyiv)
