Ariel Winter's fraught NBC pilot Hungry no longer moving forward nearly two months after Demi Lovato dropped out due to scheduling issues

NBC has decided not to move forward with Ariel Winter's pilot Hungry.

Variety reported the news on Thursday, and the show, which originally starred Demi Lovato before they dropped out, was set to follow a food-issues group through their professional and romantic lives.

One Day at a Time star Valerie Bertinelli, comedian Gabriel Iglesias and Broadway star Alex Brightman all appeared in the pilot alongside Winter.

The Soul Man co-creator Suzanne Martin wrote the pilot episode while Sean Hayes of Will & Grace served as executive producer.

Lovato was also supposed to be an executive producer and star of the show before they dropped out last month. They were still an executive producer on the pilot.

Variety reported that NBC also renewed American Auto, Young Rock and Grand Crew on Thursday while canceling Kenan and The Endgame.

While Winter won't star in this show, the Modern Family star has enough upcoming projects to keep her busy for quite a while.

She's currently in the process of filming Don't Log Off about a girl who goes missing during her surprise birthday Zoom.

She has another movie, Crimelands, also currently in pre-production. It centers around a man who saves the daughter of a crime boss while being hunted by a murderous adversary.

Taken actor Clive Standen will star opposite Winter.

In terms of her personal life, Ariel is currently dating actor Luke Benward.

Former co-stars and lovers: Benward and Winter started dating back in 2019 after Winter's highly publicized relationship with Levi Meaden, who also starred on Modern Family, ended (Winter pictured with Levi in 2019)
