The Mandalorian's third season has been confirmed to make its debut in February of 2023.

A post about the newest run of episodes for the hit Disney+ series, which stars Pedro Pascal, was shared to the official Star Wars Twitter account on Thursday.

A statement that was added in the post's caption noted that the new set of episodes would see the show's titular character and Grogu, also known as Baby Yoda, continuing their journey across the galaxy.

An announcement about The Mandalorian's upcoming season was also made at the Star Wars Celebration event, which was held in Anaheim, California, on Thursday.

According to Variety, attendees were shown a teaser trailer that showed off various clips from the new run of episodes.

It was reported that the video saw the series' titular character 'dealing with the repercussions of removing his sacred Mandalorian helmet.' 

Attendees were also told that Katee Sackhoff would return in a recurring role as series villain Bo-Katan Kryze.

The Mandalorian was created by Jon Favreau, who has also written and directed various episodes of the show in addition to voicing Paz Vizsla.

Numerous other performers, including Taika Waititi, Amy Sedaris and Werner Herzog, have either appeared or voiced characters in the series. 

The show's first season premiered on November 12, 2019, and it was an immediate hit with audiences.

The show's second season made its debut in October of 2020 and was met with similar excitement from fans.

It was confirmed that The Mandalorian would return for a third season in April of 2020.

The show's crew commenced physical production the following year, with filming taking place in October.

Pascal's character, Din Djarin, and Grogu were also featured in The Book of Boba Fett, which was also created by Favreau served as a spinoff from The Mandalorian.

Temuera Morrison and Mark Hamill reprised their roles as both Fett and Luke Skywalker, respectively.

The Book of Boba Fett premiered on December 29 of last year, although it received mainly mixed reviews from critics.

Pascal, as well as the rest of The Mandalorian's crew, kept working on the program until this past March, when filming for season three wrapped.

It was also revealed that Christopher Lloyd would appear in the third run of episodes that same month.
