Sarah Michelle Gellar sent her very close friend, Selma Blair, a touching birthday wish on her Instagram earlier Thursday.
The two actresses developed a tight bond after first meeting and working on the 1999 teen classic, Cruel Intentions. Since then, they have had an unshakeable friendship for around 24 years.
Although the best friends couldn't spend time together to celebrate Blair's 50th milestone, the Buffy The Vampire Slayer star made sure to still honor her BFF's special day.

About a week ago, the Scooby-Doo star tested positive for COVID, making her unable to be there in person to properly celebrate her friend's birthday.

Selma recently published her own memoir titled, Mean Baby: A Memoir Of Growing Up, which was officially released in May of this year.

Years later, in 2020, Sarah and Selma comically tried to re-enact the iconic moment. The beauties were awarded an MTV Movie & TV Award for Legendary Lip Lock. Just as their lips were about to meet, a glass wall was put in the middle.
Accoriding to Access, while accepting the award virtually, the Legally Blonde actress explained why she believed the kiss was so popular.
'I think the reason the kiss has resonated with people so long is not just for the initial shock value,' Selma explained.
'But because it was a catalyst for so many young people to help them realize certain aspects of their sexuality and help make people comfortable to be who they really are.'

In 2018, Selma announced to the public that she was diagnosed with MS, or multiple sclerosis. MS is a potentially disabling disease of the brain and spinal cord, according to Mayo Clinic.
Sarah has been there for her friend every step of the way, and is her biggest supporter.
In an interview with Us Weekly, the Buffy actress discussed how strong Selma was during her fight with MS.
'I don’t think I could ever be what Selma has gone through, what she shared, the strength that she’s given people,' she stated. 'She’s amazing. She’s kicking MS in the whatever it is that you can say.'
'It’s a true inspiration and it’s a learning lesson, and it’s a curve about friendship and being able to ask for help and all of these things that you don’t know that you’re capable of,' the actress told the publication.
