The Hills star Lauren Conrad admits she considered a return to reality TV to promote her brand but decided against it: 'I feel like it's just a privilege to have my privacy'

Lauren Conrad isn't heading back to reality television any time soon. 

The 36-year-old star told Us Weekly on Thursday that she has no plans to return to the platform. 

'I shared a lot' said The Hills star. 'I feel like it’s just a privilege to have my privacy [now]. I appreciate it.'

The California native was in New York City promoting her recipes at a pop-up marketplace when she spoke to the outlet. 

While she admitted that she and her husband William Tell considered getting back into the world of television to promote her business, the pair ultimately decided it 'didn't feel right' for their family. 

'If I’m able to do it not that way, then I’d prefer it,' she told the outlet.

The Family Guy actress also talked about future conversations she plans to have with her children about her time on The Hills and Laguna Beach.

'We’ll cross that bridge when we get there,' she said. 'I don’t know [but] I do think about that. I’m like, "Oh, like when does that come up?" I feel like [they’re] too young. It’s confusing. We’ll see way down the line.'

She starred alongside Lo Bosworth, Stephen Colletti and Kristin Cavallari in Laguna Beach, alongside a number of other reality stars. 

Though she attained quite a bit of success on television, Conrad is clearly staying focused on her recipes these days. 

'Our whole family is dairy-free and we don’t eat a ton of meat, so I’m always looking for alternatives and different recipes,' she said. 'I was really excited to work with Planet Oat on these because my brother’s fiancée has a tree nut allergy. So when we are all together, it’s actually the perfect ingredients to make them safe for everybody.'

'It doesn’t take a lot. I just want a glass of wine and nobody to bother me,' she said. 'I need like 30 minutes and just leave me alone.'
