Is this the reason Kate Moss appeared on 90s Platinum Jubilee bus? Supermodel is 'out for an OBE nod for her services to modelling'

She appeared on top of a '90s rave bus during the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Pageant earlier this month.

And Kate Moss is reportedly hoping for a royal honour, as the supermodel would 'love' to receive an OBE for her services to modelling, according to reports.

Hoping to make her mark on Her Majesty, the 48-year-old had a prevalent role in the Pageant celebrations, as she joined other '90s icons such as Naomi Campbell and Patsy Kensit on the bus.

According to The Sun, it's part of her royal mission for the honour, as the publication revealed that Kate has quietly been telling friends she would 'absolutely love' to be given a nod in the next round of honours.

And in order to achieve it, the supermodel has been amping up her charity work, as well as making her mark on the Queen.

Donning a Union Jack jacket for the Jubilee celebrations, the model stood at the top of the open-top bus, which also featured her picture down the side, as it made its way through the capital.

And now living in the Cotswolds, Kate has also regularly been delivering home-cooked meals to the elderly, which come from her brother Nick - who runs a Vietnamese food-delivery truck, dubbed Vietvan.

Her efforts have gone down a treat with the locals, as they have reportedly taken to the government's official webpage to nominate her for the OBE.

Describing her as 'really popular' and 'part of the community', locals of Kate's town, Little Faringdon, explained that they would love to see her with the honour.

One resident told The Sun: 'She has no airs and graces and chats to everyone. She's also started giving back, and is dishing out food and meals to the elderly who can't get out and about.

'There's been a lot of talk in the village about how Kate deserves an OBE. She's a huge admirer of the Queen and made herself very much a main figure in support at the Jubilee. Having an OBE would mean a great deal to her.

'She's never come over haughty or entitled and she deserves a gong,' continued the local.

MailOnline have contacted Kate Moss's representatives for comment.

Kate, who grew up in Croyden, swapped her city life for quiet country living full-time back in 2021 - as she closed the door on her boozy reputation.

The clean-living star is now teetotal, swapping all-night partying for yoga and dog walks, after being discovered at the age of just 14, and embarking on a turbulent youth in the spotlight.

Embarking in a relationship with wild rocker Pete Doherty back in 2004, Kate famously lost a string of high-profile modelling gigs after being snapped using drugs.

The star was pictured appearing to snort cocaine while out with Pete, most notably losing a £4million deal with H&M as a result.

But she has turned things around, remaining a hit among fans for her charitable efforts and her recent testimony during ex-boyfriend Johnny Depp's defamation trail with Amber Heard.

As she's in the market for an OBE for modelling, it wouldn't be the first time fashion has found its place in Buckingham Palace.

Edward Enninful, who is the editor-in-chief of British Vogue and a pal of Kate's, previously received an OBE in 2016, for Services to Diversity in the Fashion industry.

And having appeared on the cover of British Vogue a total of 30 times, which is more than anyone else, it could be on the cards for the model.

Kate has previously met the queen during Buckingham Palace's Women of Achievement party (L-R) Kate, author J. K. Rowling, Her Majesty the Queen, Heather Mills-McCartney, and singer Charlotte Church
