Mother of Texas elementary school shooter claims her son, 18, was NOT a violent person

Adriana Reyes (left) said she was 'surprised' Salvador Ramos (center, in a haunting Instagram post last month) opened fire in a horrific killing spree at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde yesterday. She admitted her son was a loner who 'kept to himself and didn't have many friends' but shot down claims she had a toxic relationship with him. But in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com she did not address claims she was a drug addict who had her boy taken from her and sent to live with his grandmother Celia Gonzalez (right and inset, her house). Ramos was shot dead after his shooting spree left 19 children and two teachers dead as well as his grandmother fighting for her life after he blasted her in the face. He had earlier bought two AR-15 assault rifles, bragged about them on social media and suggested he would commit an atrocity before the attack.

The Call of Duty obsessed gunman bought two weapons including a Daniel Defense AR-15 worth $1,870. He posted a receipt for that purchase on the website Yubo, which was obtained by The Daily Dot on Tuesday after the shooting. It is unclear if Ramos, who turned 18 last week, bought both weapons on the Daniel Defense website. The site is run out of Georgia and operates by allowing customers to place orders online and then collect them from a local dealer. There are no Daniel Defense dealers listed in Uvalde, but several are 100miles away in San Antonio. The ATF confirmed yesterday that Ramos purchased at least one weapon in a local firearms licensee.

Salvador Ramos, 18, on Tuesday committed the deadliest US school massacre since the Sandy Hook shooting nearly a decade ago, going on a rampage at Robb Elementary.

Father-of-seven Josh Duggar is sentenced to 12.5 years in prison and is banned from using internet and seeing his OWN children without supervision after downloading 'worst of worst' child porn stash at his Arkansas car dealership

Disgraced reality TV star Josh Duggar has been jailed for 12 and a half years today for downloading a vile trove of 'the sickest of the sickest' child porn. US District Judge Timothy Brooks handed down the 151-month prison sentence at the Western District of Arkansas Federal Courthouse in Fayetteville at the end of a day-long hearing on Wednesday.  Duggar, 34, has been in custody since December when a federal jury found the 19 Kids and Counting alum guilty of possession and receipt of child pornography. Duggar, who wore a grey suit and had a scruffy beard and grown-out buzz cut, was also hit with a longer sentence because of the molestation he subjected his own sisters to when he was a teenager. Duggar was sentenced solely on the receipt charge after both parties agreed to vacate the possession offense, the lesser of the two.

Johnny Depp returns to the stand to tell what REALLY happened when Kate Moss slipped down stairs in Jamaica, how Amber Heard gave him a 'shiner' on Orient Express - and exactly how he secured her role in Aquaman

Johnny Depp was back in witness box Wednesday morning to answer questions for a second time. He denied having seen any of the statements made by his lawyer Adam Waldman calling Heard's claims a 'hoax' before they were published. Depp claimed that he did help Heard get the role of Mera in Aquaman, the role which made her a star. '[Amber] asked me if I would speak to them. I made a phone call and I spoke to three upper echelon Warner executives', Depp said, reeling off their names. Depp added: 'Ultimately she did get the job in the film, so hopefully I suppose I'd curbed their worries to some degree'.

He said: 'The objective was to capture her leaving the courthouse and she was going to stop and turn to the camera and display the bruise'. Heard has testified that she was shocked to see photographers outside the court after a judge awarded her a restraining order against Depp. The court has previously heard claims that Heard's team leaked the video of Depp smashing up his kitchen to TMZ.

'I could listen to her pixie voice for hours': Fans react to Kate Moss's appearance at Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard trial... with some claiming it's the 'first time' they've heard it

Supermodel Kate Moss's voice turned out to be the star of the show as the supermodel gave evidence in the $50million defamation lawsuit brought by Johnny Depp against his ex-wife Amber Heard. She appeared via video link at the hearing at Fairfax, Virginia, as she gave evidence in support of Depp and denied claims he had ever assaulted her. As she recounted a story about she accidentally fell down the stairs during a holiday in Jamaica, social media users were quick to heap praise on the model's voice. 'Kate Moss should do audiobooks. I could listen to her pixie voice for hours,' said one fan.

Social media speculations that Kate Moss and Johnny Depp will get back together after

Notoriously-private Moss, 48, put aside her infamous hatred of interviews and the media in order to rush to Depp's aid in court today. Now, many social media users are convinced that the pair - who was Hollywood's 'it' couple from 1994 to 1998 - are going to reignite their former flame. After Moss took to the stand, the internet was flooded with tweets from enthralled Twitter users who branded her Depp's 'true love.' One pointed out that Depp, 58, 'lit up' when he saw Moss on the screen, while another wondered if they still had romantic feelings for each other. Others hoped that if they didn't, the court case would bring back their love for one another and spark a reconciliation 25 years in the making.

Moment Houston cop shoots black man seconds after he is told to raise his hands

Randle later died at the hospital, with an autopsy ruling he died from a gunshot wound to the neck. His family is now calling for justice in his death.

As Thomas Markle lies gravely ill, RICHARD KAY gives some friendly advice

RICHARD KAY: Watching Prince Harry gallop across a sunlit polo field in southern California it was tempting to wonder if it brought back any nostalgic memories for the very different kind of life he used to lead as a member of the Royal Family. But of all the regrets he surely privately has over his exile, the greatest must be the animosity that exists between him and his father-in-law, who remains seriously ill in hospital after a suspected stroke. The rift between Thomas Markle, his daughter and the son-in-law he has never met, has been one of the most tragic and enduring features of the entire Harry and Meghan saga. It is also by some distance the saddest. For despite the pain and suspicion that undoubtedly still exists between Harry and his father Prince Charles and brother William, the Prince has not completely severed those royal bonds. And although pointedly not invited to share the Buckingham Palace balcony, he and Meghan will be participating in next week's Platinum Jubilee.

Texas school shooting: Hero girl shot dead 'as she tried to call 911'

Amerie Jo Garza, a fourth grader at Robb Elementary in the city Uvalde, Texas, was among 19 children under the age of 11 killed in the latest school mass shooting to hit America. Berlinda Irene Arreola, her grandmother, said the 10-year-old was shot dead while trying to call 911. The killer, 18-year-old 'loner' Salvador Ramos, told the class 'you're going to die' before opening fire, Berlinda said. Also killed in the attack were two male students - Xavier Lopez, 10, and nine-year-old Uziyah Garcia - and three more girls - Makenna Elrod, 10, Eliahana Torres, also 10, and Ellie, whose age and surname were not immediately available. Two teachers - Eva Mireles, 44, and Irma Garcia, a mother-of-four - were also killed before a Border Patrol agent shot and killed Ramos.

Portrait of a teenage killer: Boyfriend of shooter's mother says the 'loner' 18-year-old stayed in his bedroom hitting a punching bag and wouldn't allow anyone in the house while friend says he would drive around shooting people with a BB gun

In yet another unthinkable tragedy on Tuesday, Salvador Ramos, 18, slaughtered 19 innocent children and two much-loved teachers at Robb Elementary school, in Uvalde, Texas, before being killed in a shoot out with a border patrol officer. It is the second deadliest shooting in US history after the infamous Sandy Hook massacre in 2012 - which saw 26 people killed - and has once again left people asking how someone could commit such a heinous crime. As the country tries to make sense of the tragedy, stories about Ramos are beginning to emerge from those who knew him best, painting the picture of a troubled child who became consumed with rage thanks partly to an unstable home, including an alleged drug-using mother, and relentless bullying at school - although neither of those facts provide an excuse for his evil crimes. Neighbors and classmates say his behavior spiraled into the bizarre and macabre as he entered his later teenage years, with one friend telling Good Morning America: 'He had scars on his face and someone asked him, 'are you ok?' and he just said with a smile 'I did it myself, I liked how it looked. 'He began dressing in dark clothes and military boots and carried out drivebys using his BB gun to target random people, one local claimed. The would-be mass murderer grew up on Hood Street, in a no-frills working class neighborhood, where homes are dotted along avenues more akin to dirt tracks, and where more than a third live at or barely above the federal poverty line.

The district said Monday that is had been using the platform 'to monitor all social media with a connection to Uvalde as a measure to identify any possible threats that might be made against students and or staff within the school district.'

King-size talent with the moves to bring Elvis to life: Young star - and a dastardly Tom Hanks - make this biopic a spectacle, writes BRIAN VINER

BRIAN VINER: Blue suede shoes trod the red nylon carpet last night as an enthusiastic audience at the Cannes Film Festival arrived to see the premiere of Baz Luhrmann's keenly awaited biopic Elvis. The film stars former Disney Channel favourite Austin Butler in the exalted title role, as the King of Rock 'n' Roll, with Tom Hanks as his overbearing manager Colonel Tom Parker. It is rare to find Hanks playing a character practically without virtue, so it perhaps helps that he is prosthetised almost beyond recognition beneath a fat suit, sporting acres of wobbly jowls and an elongated nose, like a corpulent version of the sinister Child Catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

The event is no stranger to controversy, showing a slew of scandalous movies over the years containing explicit sex scenes, brutal rapes, and extreme violence - including The House That Jack Built (top left), Irreversible (top right), Antichrist (bottom left), and Love (bottom right).
